As soon as my spring break begun, my friends and I took a road trip from LA to the Bay for a refreshing Easter weekend. We started driving from early morning, around 8:00 am, and arrived at downtown SF just right afternoon. After checking in at the Westin Francis, I took a quick shower and I was thrilled to get out of the hotel asap.
SF was still breathtaking and crowded. There were more constructions and new buildings putting up almost in every corner of the street that I walked by. After a nice walk, we drove up to the curvy Lombard street to take some nice photoshoots, then stopped by Four Barrel Coffee to slow ourselves down with some "throwback" stories, or to simply create our new journeys!
I had a brief shopping time at the Ferry Building Marketplace for the evening. This marketplace is my to-go location whenever I visit SF. My favorite item here must be the Spring Jasmine Tea chocolate truffle from Recchiuti Confections! The dazzling floral herb scent is what makes these chocolate extra delicious. Besides all of the fresh-made cheese and food shops at the marketplace, I always stop by The Slanted Door for some Vietnamese food. Great foods (especially for family style serving), friendly service and exquisite ocean view!
Before heading back to the hotel, we ended the day filling up our stomachs at Chabaa Restaurant downtown. The chicken curry and the coconut mango sticky rice were absolutely a must!
